A Christmas Message
A Christmas message produced by The Grahamstown Project for The DSG, Grahamstown.
A busy and emotional couple of weeks
A busy and emotional couple of weeks in Grahamstown, the cultural heartland of South Africa.
Tantyi By Night
We live in an unusual place … it’s rare for a South African city to have the suburbs and townships facing each other across a valley as we do.
Winter Sunset over the 1820 Settlers National Monument
We get some really spectacular sunsets in Grahamstown – especially in winter around the time of the National Arts Festival.
Off to a Great Start
The Oatlands Park cleanup and beautification project off to a great start last week.

Happy Friday to all!
Cross Street – Grahamstown’s Built Heritage
The second picture from my photo record of Grahamstown’s 70 Heritage Resources showcases three beautiful old buildings along Cross Street – numbers 6, 8 and 10.
Going Home
Another night shot to follow on from last week’s picture.
Headlights along Powell Street, Fingo Village
I live in Sunnyside and directly across the Belmont Valley from our house lie the historic Fingo Village and Old Municipal Location.

The start of a new series of photos features the lovely St Barts church on Market Street.

Summer’s End
We are heading home to Grahamstown next week so this will be my last photo from Sweden.
Another Interesting Week in Grahamstown
A video was released by concerned (that’s an understatement) local residents calling on the Eastern Cape Provincial Executive to dissolve the Makana Municipal Council and appoint an administrator until the election of a new Council.
