Inkunzi Bursary Programme
A short vlog capturing my day (4 Aug) at St Andrew’s College and The DSG.
WESSA Natural Heritage Photo Competition 2018
Aside from the awareness, recognition and celebration of our natural environment, the aspects of this competition I love most are:
The Road to Rock Bottom, Assegaai Trails
We’ve had some memorable times down at Rock Bottom … it’s the overnight hiking camp (built in an old boerboon tree) at Assegaai Trails.
Happy Womens Day
I trust those in South Africa enjoyed a special Women’s Day yesterday. Circumstances enabled the privilege of breakfast with my mother in Jhb and dinner with Vanessa in Grahamstown.
Grahamstown Misty Morning
This is a typical early morning winter scene from Robinson Street.
I am delighted!
I’m tickled pink.
Hogsback Winter Celebration
It’s the #Hogsbackcelebrations this weekend from 27-29 July.

Featherstone Kloof Panorama
One of the best things about Grahamstown is the hiking.
Down to the Featherstone Brewery
Grahamstown’s own craft beers come from the Featherstone Brewery which is located on Brackenhill Farm just a few kilometres out of town where the N2 winds its way down through Howieson’s Poort.
Calling all my running friends to Grahamstown!
Two fantastic events to look forward to.

Winter Sunrise, Grahamstown
I have to get up before dawn during the Arts Festival. There’s our dog to be walked and various chores that need to be done before getting to my exhibition venue.
Visit to Cheltenham Ladies’ College
We had the privilege last week of visiting England (my son Alex is rowing for the London Rowing Club) and the opportunity to tour Cheltenham Ladies’ College (CLC).
Grahamstown Name Change
Many of you will already be aware that the Arts & Culture Minister of South Africa, Nathi Mthethwa, has approved the change of Grahamstown’s name to Makhanda.
Reddits Poetry Evening
I was unable to be at Reddits Poetry last evening but thanks to Harry Owen we have words from him, some pictures, and a poem. A celebration of all that is good in the world.
Festino at the exhibition.
Late June is Arts Festival time in Grahamstown. The whole place is full to bursting with festinos from all over the country, continent and the rest of the world.
Reddits Poetry evening
Friday evening found me strolling through Rhodes University down into town. Weathered buildings and hundred-year old trees bracing themselves as winter and long nights set in.
