Our experienced Tour Guide will collect your child from the Albany Sports Field – and deliver them back after a memorable experience. 

Details & Itinerary

Schedule

Day 01: Grahamstown – Kuzuko Lodge (Addo Elephant National Park)

09:15 – Depart Albany sports field and head towards Kuzuko Lodge via the R400.

11:15 – Arrival at Kuzuko, we set up camp at the foot of the Zuurberg mountain range. Safety briefing.

12:00 – Lunch.

13:00 – Junior Rangers will be split in two groups of 4 and given their first task of assembling a Totem animal out of material found around the lodge.

16:00 – Team presentations on their totem animal.

19:00 – Braai time.

20:00 – Astronomy / Star Gazing.

Day 2: Kuzuko Lodge – Addo Elephant National Park – Kuzuko Lodge

05:30-06:30 – Wake up / Breakfast.

06:45 – Depart for Addo Elephant National Park.

During our trip to Addo we will cover workbook modules on:

  • History of Addo Elephant National Park.
  • Plants and trees.
  • Animal behaviour.

13:30 – Lunch.

14:30 – Depart Addo Elephant National Park.

15:30 – Arrival at Kuzuko Lodge.

16:00 – Power point presentation given by wildlife guide Luke Beckmann on the days modules.

17:30 – Short hike into the Zuurberg Mountains.

During our hike we will cover workbook modules on:

  • Khoi / San Rock Paintings.
  • Collecting water.
  • Basic biomes.
  • Spiders / Scorpions. (special light to find scorpions in the dark)

19:30 – Braai time.

21:30 – Lalapanzi.

Day 3: Kuzuko Lodge – Grahamstown

06:00 – Kuzuko Lodge Game drive (Searching for lions).

09:00 – Breakfast.

10:00 – Power point presentation given by wildlife guide Luke Beckmann on the previous days module.

12:30 – Snake presentation and demonstration my Chad Keates.

13:30 – Lunch.

14:00 – Depart Kuzuko Lodge Educational Reserve.

16:00 – Arrival in Grahamstown.
